Daniel Lombard, 2-5 IN 3-1 AD, US Army Veteran
Daniel is a Certified Recovery Specialist with a deep-rooted passion for serving veterans and first responders. His journey into peer support and recovery work after a life after-altering deployment to Afghanistan, where he completed a 9-month tour that profoundly shaped who he is today. During that time, Dan survived not only one, but two IED blasts and multiple firefights-experiences that challenged him physically, mentally, and emotionally, and ultimately fueled his desire to support others walking similar paths.
After returning home, Dan co-founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to peer work, creating a space for veterans to connect, heal, and grow together. Through that work, he discovered the power of shared experience-the unique trust and understand that can only come from someone who has truly been there.
Today, Dan specializes in using his own lived experience to help veterans and first responders navigate trauma, find their voice, and reclaim their sense of purpose. His approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and commitment to making sure no one feels alone in their struggles. Helping others isn’t just a profession, it’s Dan’s mission. Whether it’s one-on-one peer support or community engagement, Dan is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where healing can happen.
