Co-Founder/Vice President/Treasurer,
Shawn Bertholf, US Navy Veteran
Shawn is a 10-year US Navy veteran and a proven Defense Industry and Business Leader in Project Management, Training and Continuous Improvement. The inspiration behind Honor Box Studios began during a deeply personal moment, while home on leave, Shawn asked his grandfather, an Army medic in World War II about his service.
To his astonishment, he learned that his grandfather was a Purple Heart recipient and had been part of several historic moments. These stories, long tucked away and unspoken, revealed a legacy that had been quietly stored in a closet, both literally and figuratively. That conversation sparked a realization, how many other powerful stories and treasured items from veterans and first responders remain untold or forgotten.
From this moment, the vision for Honor Box Studios was inspired, with a mission to preserve and honor these incredible legacies while providing meaningful work and renewed purpose to veterans and first responders.

My name is Ryan Marsh, I have an extensive background in 3D designs for over 23 years. My design background comes from designing custom Gunite Swimming pools, Outdoor living spaces, Landscaping & more. I met Robert Scott over ten years ago & we have become extremely good friends since. I have a beautiful wife of 24 years, her name is Rebekah.
We have two lovely daughters. Our oldest is 23 & her name is Jede & our youngest is 17 named Cierra. When I learned about the Honor Box Studios project, I loved the idea immediately. My father serviced our Great Military helping get all branches of the Military to get easier communication long before the internet existed. My brother Kenny, during his tenure in service was with 2nd BN/ 75th Ranger REG.
I have had the privilege to train with many Special Operations service men from Army Rangers, Navy Seals, Green Berets etc. over many years. It gave me a glimpse into how they operate. I now work for the Army Corps Of engineers on the weekends, while still designing custom Swimming pools and Honor Boxes during the week. It is a great privilege and Honor that Robert has chosen me to help in the Honor Box Studio project so I can give all the service men & women in our great Military & First Responders community to see what their box(s) will look like.
