President of Operations, CW2 (RET) Erich Phillips from 7th Special Forces Group (A)

Erich is a retired Special Forces Warrant Officer with over 22 years of leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving experience. Erich served in multiple leadership positions that ranged from an Airborne Platoon Sergeant to a Detachment Commander in Special Forces in various locations around the world. Specializing in management skills, Erich uses his experience to ensure that deadlines are met, budgets are adhered to, and a clear vision of expectations is communicated to his team.

By focusing on his why statement “We fix the picture, to engrave the future”, Erich has been able to put his National Security degree, that he earned at Excelsior College, to good use across the globe: Over the years, Erich´s strengths at leadership and management have garnered some recognition by all levels of the military Chain of Command. Erich was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross in 2008 by General (RET) Carter Ham whom at the time served as the U.S. Army Europe Commander.  The following year, Erich was awarded the Silver Star by Major General (RET) William Garrett III who was serving as the U.S. Army Africa Commander, for actions and complex decisions made in 2008 while in Afghanistan. Erich received the leadership award for Special Forces Qualification Class – 07-10 in 2011 and the Special Forces Saint Philip Neri (Bronze) medal in 2022. 

Erich may spend his days at home along la Costa Brava, Spain; however, it’s the continued opportunity to teach, coach and mentor that gets him up in the morning. When he is not working as an assistant to a veteran non-profit or traveling as a consultant, Erich is an avid overlander and loves spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and two children.
